Picotech is a French medtech startup and spin-off of CERN, which is founded in 2017, by three physicists from CERN and is linked to InnoGex. The founders' vision is early detection: "the most efficient route to treat cancer". Picotech is developing detector modules that improve the precision for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) medical imaging. Picotech‘s innovative patented detector technology allows the 3D localisation of photons in order to develop detectors that have precise position and timing resolution. Picotech is developing the first organ-specific PET scanner for early diagnosis of aggressive prostate cancer.[…]

Geneva University Hospital
Geneva University through its medical school and University Hospital assumed a leading role in Switzerland to become internationally recognized for excellence in medical imaging research, with PET/MRI being a focus for its activities. The University Hospital is a group of primary, secondary, and tertiary care facilities. The department is accredited by EANM and has a long tradition in imaging technology development as well as clinical research. HUG is equipped with an IBA 18/9 MeV cyclotron and GMP compliant PET tracer production facility, two PET/CT systems, one whole-body PET/MRI system, a number of clinical 3T MRI scanners and one preclinical trimodality PET/CT/SPECT system.
